Celebrate Creativity, Courage & Collaboration: International Dot Day Events

Every September-ish, we celebrate International Dot Day. Since 2009, this creative festival has attracted more than 20 million people from more than 200 countries and regions. For the forth year in a row, Huitong School has participated in the celebration of International Dot Day. Of course, we did not miss it this year.

Starting from the end of September, our CAD teachers spent a whole month carrying out a series of thematic activities in different grades from ELC to elementary school. Currently, these works have been displayed in school decorating our daily life, and at the same time conveying to more people the encouragement of International Dot Day – Celebrate Creativity, Courage & Collaboration!

In addition to creative individual works, this year we can also enjoy many amazing artworks created together by the students. For example, G1 children have done their cooperative artwork – the long scrolls. They drew beautiful patterns on the long scroll through the dots, enjoy the fun of painting, and expressing the colorful world in their mind.

G3 had participated in a playful and creative action drawing experience. Children from different classes were divided into groups to set their creativity free by drawing on large dots. Since everyone in the group had to take turns to draw, this activities required the children to work together in a wonderful team spirit to accomplish their goal. Despite the ups and downs of the process, we saw the children really enjoyed working together to create the most beautiful large dot.
